For Literary Pieces (Articles, Poetry, Short Stories):

• The piece should be no longer than 600 words.

• It should not contain any profanity.

• It should be original and not AI generated.

• It should be in the form of an editable google document.

• It should be named 'Title_LastName_FirstName'

To submit, send us the google document via email to theowlsrant@gmail.com.

Keep 'Issue No. 3 Literary Submission' as the subject.

For Artwork and Photography:

The piece should be scanned and in high resolution.

• It should be original and not AI generated.

• It should be in JPEG or PNG form

The Owl's Rant Anatomy:

Section 1: The Current

Reality. Non-fiction articles on real world issues, OPEDs, poetry grounded in what's happening today. Alongside articles on all general topics and current affairs, we are seeking articles with an environmental focus.

Section 2: The Nexus

For this section, ask 'what's it like to be a citizen of the 21st century?' and let that guide your creativity. Personal articles and poetry are all welcome!

Section 3: The Story

Need we say more? Flash fiction, any topic, all genres.

• Mention which section your piece is intended for in the submission email. If you're not sure- mention that, and we'll segregate the piece for you!
